Knighting of Sir Morven of Carrick
September 28, 1975

[Excerpted from the History of the West Kingdom, for September Crown Tourney, September 27-28, 1975The knights of the West then petitioned the Crown to knight Morven of Carrick, which King Douglas did.

The achievement includes Morven's arms: "Chequy gules and Or, a bear statant erect sable" coupled with the achievement of a Knight, "helmed, and mantled gules, doubled Or."

Here, Sir William the Lucky reads the ceremony, as King Terrence accepts Morven's oath of fealty.

Here, King Terrence dubs the new-made Knight.

Here, King Terrence places the chain around Sir Morven's neck.

Sir Morven is greeted by his fellow Knights.
